We
began driving the truck around an noticed a problem with forward
shifting and reverse gear in the transmission. We removed the
transmission and had it professionally rebuilt. It's faster and
easier to remove the body than to drop the trans. |

We
were hard at work over the past weeks. First we took the radiator
frame that we made previously, and mounted a double electric coolant
fan. Then we made the brackets for and installed the air conditioning
condensor. Once the radiator frame was back in place in the truck,
we made supports to hold the frame still. The top radiator hose
was then rerouted to allow for the air intake tube to be mounted
between the engine and the radiator frame. |
We
also fabricated a fuel filler tube and mount, fabricated and installed
the taillight hinge system, and then installed the fuel filler neck
inside behind the taillight. We then wired the taillights and installed
them. |

Update:
It has been a while since we have worked on the truck. The real
world crashed in on us (we moved, had another baby, expanded
our business, etc.) We are building a new shop with a lift to
properly finish the truck. We have also entertained selling
the truck too. Everything is for sale at the right price.
